Thomas was the fifth child out of 13.
He married Jean Bill and they had two sons, Tony and Ross.
Tom enlisted early in WWI, when he was only 17.
He was given a send-off at Ilford School, and served at Gallipoli.
In site of a wounded arm, he settled on a farm, ‘The Laurels’, on Mount Vincent, where he grew potatoes for some years.
